Back home
It's good to be back in Japan despite everything. Living in another country is an amazing experience and it's not hard to stay in contact with friends and family, but when something goes wrong at home you're the wrong end of the world.

Ohtori-kun, the medical school I've transferred to is a couple of hours from where we are now. I don't quite know yet how things will work, so I'll go in alone this week and we'll catch up in the evenings. Take this time torecover get familiar with the area.

My application to be a temple tour guide for visiting tourists was accepted! I have to spend tomorrow learning the grounds thoroughly and the history of the temple before planning out what I have to say. My first tour will be next weekend in either Japanese, English or (if there really is no one else) French.
Eiji or Tezuka, would either of you like to visit the temple and hear my tour in French? I could use the help to make sure I am understandable!

I may have drank slightly too much last night. Perhaps I shouldn't have started at 9 am with that bottle of wine my parents left me. I am going to sit still and only look at books with waterproof covers in case ... well.

Last weekend's trips around the local shrines and temples was very interesting and peaceful. It was good to get away from everyone for a while. One of the bigger temples is looking for volunteer tour guides. I've put in an application. I would be able to speak both Japanese and English and perhaps even practice my French a little. I think it would be a good thing to do with part of my weekendsalone, since no one belongs in shrines here.

Busy day
Tachibana-kun ... I'm afraid I accidentally slipped and knocked all my clothes off their hangers in the wardrobe. Would you mind washing everything and ensuring the jacket, shirts and trousers are re-pressed? The bedding needs to be done as well. Stupidly, I also spilt water on the carpet while cleaning the fish tank. I tend to do that a lot, so it's probably time to give the entire carpet a deep clean. Could you see to this personally? Also, I think the pans in the kitchen could use a proper scouring and the floor washed. The guilt eats me but I can't cope with the watching anymore.
I'll be out around the school and grounds during the day and in the evening I am dining with Tezuka. It is unfortunate you will not be able to accompany me, but I really feel this is more important. Thanks.

Bonjour!
I passed French! Not brilliantly, but well enough to stay in the class this year. My marks on the grammar section was reasonable, but my vocabulary still needs a lot of work. Still, it's not surprising given how late I joined the class so I'm very pleased. Tezuka, THANK YOU for the lessons and the dictionary; the notations are invaluable.
My other Christmas presents weredisturbing ... unusual ... interesting. Sadly, the book from Oshitari was overlooked when we packed to return to Lioncrest. Ohtori-kun, you should have been more careful and, on an entirely unrelated note, I'm giving you a pay increase.
Eiji, I do love the telescope! I can see ... my French dictionary through it. Did I mention I passed French?!

We are all unpacked, Ohtori-kun has arranged music lessons for the break and our family's corporate season party is ... tonight.If there is any kind of god, Oshitari will tire of the idea of attending before this evening.
The only uncertainty left is the exam results. I hope I passed French and will be able to continue with it next year. I think the exam was not too awful, but I am still not well placed in the class.
Um, thank you to my secret santa. The potpoourri is nice and the book and, ah, other things are ...still less embarrassing than Oshitari's book interesting.
It looks like I will be visiting Germany shortly after Christmas to accompany Ohtori-kun to the classical music concert in Berlin and then onto his see his family. It should be a good experience!
Eiji, how is Canada? I am hoping the snow shoes you did not end up packing were ultimately not needed. Stay warm~

The exams are not as bad as I feared, though this is possibly because I can now move around my room again. I don't know how I let it get to such a state in two weeks. Next time, I shall take more care ... except I really hope there will not be a next time.

Ohtori-kun has to spend the next two weeks with Kabaji-kun. I really hope he will be alrightwith Atobe. It's not great, but I suppose we should be glad the punishment was not worse. I am most worried that his music lessons have been stopped. To allow such talent to go to waste because of a 16 cm mouth would be beyond imagining. I shall have to find a way to allow him to continue practising and developing his skill.
